This is the classic ‘at the double’ pose for the Prussian army of this period. The men were trained to advance this way until they reached the point where they were needed on the battlefield. They would then form up and advance in the usual ‘march-attack’ poses or advance with levelled muskets if in close proximity to the enemy. These figures never sell in large quantities but should from part of any Prussian collection.
